Yohimbe Bark

The Yohimbe is a tree native to west Africa found growing indigenous in the region. Its powdered crushed bark has been used for sexual stimulation tonics to treat impotence and as an aphrodisiac. It is known very effective for treating erectile dysfunction and for stimulating the sexual response and desire.

An extract of the bark the alkaloidal substance called yohimbine which is the pure form of the active substance, isolated in laboratories, is a classified drug used to treat erectile dysfunction and is prescribed only through a doctor in some countries. The powdered crushed bark however can be bought and sold in some countries, but in some other countries is restricted.

The yohimbe bark contains yohimbine and when ingested in large doses can cause some severe side effects in some people and is not recommended to be taken by people with a prevailing weak heart condition, diabetes, or kidney disease. Yohimbe can raise heartbeat, cause sweating, and in larger doses maybe dizziness, nausea, or agitation.

What Pills Contain These Ingredients?

If you look on the ingredients label of the supplement it will tell you if it contains Yohimbe or not. It would unlikely be yohimbine, but crushed yohimbe bark. In small doses Yohimbe is a very powerful and effective sexual stimulation substance that can induce erections. The male enhancement drug Extenze contains small amounts of Yohimbe.
